VIDEO: Bison Charges Tourists That Get Too Close

It's a tale as old as time, or at least as old as Yellowstone National Park: tourist thinks bison are cute, gets too close.  We're running out of ways to describe it.  Frankly, we may need to come up with some new words.

Granted, someone filmed this video years ago, but it may as well be now (except that now we have thousands more tourists in the park every year).

The lady filming, who happens to offer her own acerbic narration of the events, is sitting in her car on the shoulder of the road, filming the bison munching grass from a respectful distance.  Then some youths (girls too, who, as everyone knows, are usually a little wiser than boys) walk right up to the side of the road to get some snaps of the bison.

The woman filming offers her assessment: "Uh, bison can run up to 30 miles an hour and gore you to death, so who knows what kind of action we might be in for!"

Almost as soon as she's finished the sentence, the bison startles, running a few feet in their direction.  But it's enough to put the fear of God, or at least bison, into the girls, who scatter in every direction, each hoping they're not the one who gets trampled.  Luckily, none of them are hurt, and hopefully, they're a little bit smarter about the proper distance you should put between wild animals and themselves.
