VIDEO: Men on Bridge Bluff Charged By Grizzly Bear

A pair of men must have got a heck of an adrenaline rush when a grizzly bear they were filming crossing a bridge decided it just might charge at them.  And like so many bear videos we've seen, the bear goes from a gentle stroll to being peeved pretty fast.

Filmed in Babine River Corridor Park in British Columbia, the two men have a long time to see the bear coming.  It slowly ambles along the bridge, apparently not paying them any mind.  And the men, maybe in a fit of overconfidence, don't get the hell out of the way.

Well, as these things tend to go, the bear gets halfway across the bridge, and mere feet from the men, when it decides it had better demonstrate that it doesn't appreciate being that close to people.

And, for a heart-stopping moment, the bear begins a short charge, stamping it's paws and drawing itself up for an attack.  The men shout "hey" and "whoa", making plenty of noise, and the grizzly, which must not have been all that hungry or irritated, decides to just move on.

It seems to us that the bear seems awfully used to people and that maybe the bear has been in proximity to tourists for a while.  Still, he's not too comfortable around them, luckily.

That would have been a great time for a little toot of bear spray right into the animal's snout.  Thankfully, it could have gone a whole lot worse if the bear weren't in such a serene mood.
