You can hear the raw amazement and concern in the voice of this hunter when a full-grown grizzly bear walks right up to his truck and stands up.  The sheer size of the beast seems to take his breath away. 

"Heart rate was going, not sure what she's going to do because she's got some pretty good claws on there," he told local Alberta news after the event occurred. 

He was hunting deer near Edson, Alberta when he saw a family of grizzlies approaching - one big mama, and three good-sized juveniles.  He was right in the middle of exclaiming "holy ****" (warning, the video is PG-13) when he noticed the hulking mama bear approaching his truck.  He managed to capture the moment she got up on her hind paws and had a look around.

Then, her curiosity apparently sated, the great big mama bear goes off to join the road again.  Everyone was fine, from the cubs to the man, but for a brief second, I'll bet even these experienced, well-trained hunters had one question on their mind: if that bear swats, is the car really going to protect us?

Mama and cubs are all looking pretty healthy, and it appears they'll have enough winter fat to last through the long hibernation.  God speed you, bear family, and thanks for not killing us.
