How many people does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Is it more or less than the number of people needed to stand around and yell at a mother black bear?
These Lake Tahoe, California folk could probably have found a better way to release this black bear mama and cub. For one, they could have invited fewer people rather than half of the county. For another, they could keep their darn dogs locked up in their cars, or maybe not even bring the pup, since dogs and bears don't always get along.
After that, they could have realized that the cub might get close enough to humans to make Mama mad. They might have had some kind of plan in case the bear gets too close to the large number of people who are standing around for no particular reason. They might have realized that yelling at the bear, as seemingly every resident of Lake Tahoe does in this video, has only a limited degree of effectiveness unless California bears have their feelings hurt more easily than the rest. Also, don't sic your dogs on them, unless you aren't very attached to your dog.
