My Mom was a "Butte girl" and my Dad from Anaconda. Mom's grandpa was from Cornwall. I was born in Butte and we moved to Columbia Falls when I was 3. Our family always loved Mom's pasties. I only attempted to make them once and they were not as yummy as my Mom's, but the other day my niece asked for Mom's recipe so I'm thinking about attempting them again. My son has made them with more success than I had. I miss my Mom and her pasties. I used to love going to Gamers on our annual visits to Butte/Anaconda to put flowers on graves.
