The history of the Baker/ Ashley days has been a frontier legacy of several different stories and controversies over time that have been repeated and debated by historians and local storytellers throughout the areas of Wyoming and Montana and Colorado.
My family has lived here in the mountains since the 1840s and I am always amazed at how many different ways the history has evolved over generations of people who have come to explore the history of Rocky Mountains.
